Materials:
Gold-fill- Gold-fill pieces have a thick layer of 14k gold pressure bonded to a base metal, usually brass. This layer is 100x thicker than gold plated jewelry, which means it will not chip or tarnish if well cared for. This metal gives you the look and feel of solid gold, without the high price point. A great option for those with sensitive skin.
Sterling Silver- Sterling Silver is a precious metal alloy with 92.5% solid silver. This metal keeps best when worn often, and can tarnish if not well kept. Store in an air tight container and away from humidity when you’re not enjoying your piece.
Jewelry Care:
Your pieces can have a long life if worn often and cared for well!
- Avoid wearing while cleaning, swimming, and exercising. Oxygen, moisture, and other chemicals can dull or tarnish metals.
- Hair and skin and beauty products can cause tarnishing so put all of your pieces on after you are finished your routine.
- Clean jewelry before storing away with a mild soap and soft cloth and dry thoroughly. Use polishing cloth provided to get your piece back to its shine, or any jewelry cleaner will work.
- Store in an airtight container away from moisture (especially your bathroom!) If you won’t be wearing your pieces for a while, a ziplock bag is great for storage, especially Sterling Silver.
